Centre Introduces ‘AI for Entrepreneurship’ Skill Development Programme

In a significant step toward fostering AI-driven entrepreneurship, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Intel India have jointly launched the ‘AI for Entrepreneurship’ micro-learning module. This initiative aims to equip 100,000 young innovators by 2025 with the knowledge and skills required to harness artificial intelligence (AI) for business growth and innovation.

Empowering Youth Through AI and Entrepreneurship

The programme is designed to simplify AI concepts and instill an entrepreneurial mindset among India’s youth, making AI more accessible and practical for aspiring business leaders. It will help participants understand how AI can be leveraged for problem-solving, strategic decision-making, and scaling businesses in a digital economy.

Importantly, the module is structured to cater to both urban and rural learners, ensuring that digital skill development reaches all sections of society. By democratizing access to AI knowledge, the programme seeks to empower young individuals to innovate, create jobs, and drive economic growth.

Government and Industry Leaders Endorse AI Skilling Initiative

Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Jayant Chaudhary, emphasized the significance of AI in shaping the future of entrepreneurship. He highlighted that this initiative is a crucial step in bridging the skill gap and fostering innovation-driven learning across India.

Echoing this sentiment, Intel India President Gokul Subramaniam stated that AI has the potential to benefit society and drive transformative change. He underscored that this programme is designed to inspire young minds to develop cutting-edge solutions that will contribute to India’s growth and global competitiveness.

Certification and Future Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a joint certification from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), NSDC, Skill India, and Intel. This certification will not only enhance employability but also encourage young innovators to explore AI-driven business opportunities.

Google Partners with Telangana Government to Drive AI Adoption

In a related development, Google has announced a strategic partnership with the Government of Telangana to expand AI-driven solutions across the state. This collaboration is expected to accelerate digital transformation by leveraging AI in key sectors such as agriculture, urban transport, and governance.

As part of the partnership, Google for Startups will provide mentorship and accelerator programs to nurture AI startups, further strengthening Telangana’s growing ecosystem of over 500 AI startups and 80+ emerging tech companies.

Additionally, Google for Education will introduce AI training programs to upskill the workforce and prepare professionals for AI-driven job roles.

Conclusion

The combined efforts of NSDC, Intel India, and Google highlight India’s commitment to AI-driven skill development and innovation. By empowering young entrepreneurs and integrating AI into critical sectors, these initiatives are set to drive economic growth, create job opportunities, and position India as a global AI powerhouse.
